Terms of Service

Code Notebook provides a hosted workspace where you can create, store, search, and share developer notes with optional code snippets. The service is delivered over the internet as software (SaaS) no local installation is required for the web app. Access is available at codenotebook.dev and via our VS Code extension.

You must provide accurate information when signing up and keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for activity under your account, including API keys created in Settings. Notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access.

You retain full ownership of the notes, code snippets, and other content you create. By using Code Notebook, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to host, store, back up, and display your content solely to provide the service to you including public read-only links you explicitly enable.

You agree not to misuse the platform. Prohibited conduct includes:

• Uploading malware, spam, or illegal content.
• Attempting to breach, scrape, or overload the service.
• Impersonating others or violating third-party rights.
• Circumventing usage limits or security controls.

Code Notebook currently offers a free tier with core features. Some capabilities such as AI explain include usage limits. We may introduce paid plans or change pricing with reasonable notice. Paid subscriptions, when available, will be billed according to the plan selected at checkout.

We work to keep Code Notebook reliable, but the service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted uptime, and brief maintenance or outages may occur. Features may evolve as the product improves.

You may stop using Code Notebook at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, abuse the service, or create risk for other users. Upon termination, your right to access the service ends.

We may update these terms as the product evolves. Material changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date. Continued use of Code Notebook after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
